HCI honours volunteers in Amsterdam

On 4 November 2009, the Management Team of Health Connections International held its first informal gathering to honour and thank its volunteers in Amsterdam.

To extend its thanks and gratitude, HCI held its first annual soiree for the dedicated volunteers who work in its Amsterdam office on a weekly basis. This informal gathering allowed the HCI Management Team and staff to recognise the hard work and dedication of these bright individuals, and to discuss ways in which the experience for both HCI and its volunteers can be further enriched in future.

Given the relatively small size of the organisation and in an effort to ensure that overhead costs are kept to a minimum, HCI has recruited several volunteers who share the vision of HCI and fully support its mission. By volunteering for HCI, these individuals help to ensure that efforts to strengthen healthcare systems in resource-poor settings are further advanced.

HCI wishes to express its sincerest gratitude to its volunteers. We are delighted to work with you and hope to do so for a long time to come!
