HCI’s KISP launched at www.myhci.org

Health Connections International (HCI) is pleased to announce that the centrepiece of its programme activities—its Knowledge- and Information- Sharing Platform (KISP)—has been officially launched at www.myhci.org.

HCI’s KISP is a web-based platform which facilitates the exchange of information, knowledge and expertise between non-English speaking healthcare professionals in Central Asia and their English-speaking counterparts from across the globe. While browsing of KISP is open to anyone, to post questions users need to first complete a brief registration process. Contributors willing to donate their time and expertise may register, but are screened before being granted permission to supply information to their Central Asian peers.

Prior to the beta ready launch this past month, HCI’s KISP went through a vigorous internal testing period. The internal-testing phase involved improving KISP’s functionality, fixing known bugs, and streamlining the look and feel of KISP to increase its overall user friendliness. Now that a range of users are able to try KISP’s functionality freely, this process of improvement will continue.

HCI would like to thank all those involved for their outstanding commitment and contribution to KISP. In particular, the following individuals have provided specific expertise and assistance throughout this process and helped to make KISP a reality:

Currently, a steady stream of questions are being posted to KISP, with the answers coming from a range of international experts. All of these question and answer pairs are being translated and stored in the system
